Location: IDRBT is right behind the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), on the road leading to Mehdipatnam from Masab Tank.
Getting there: Hyderabad is well connected by air, train and road.
Air: The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (IATA: HYD) is around 27 Kms away from the venue. The air-conditioned Pushpak - Airport Liner, which has a stop at NMDC and runs every half-an-hour, is one of the most comfortable modes of transport from airport to city. Typical travel time from airport to the venue by cab / Pushpak is around 45-60 minutes.
Train: Three major railway stations are in the vicinity:
Bus: Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS) is the major bus station. It is around 8 kms away and typical travel time is 30 minutes. Many overnight buses drop/pick up passengers at Mehdipatnam around 3 kms away.
Local Commute: City buses are quite frequent in the vicinity, though they are crowded in peak hours. Lakdi-ka-pul, the closest Hyderabad Metro station is around 6 kms away. Ola / Uber cab services are available, though they may delay during peak commute hours. Besides, some of the other cab services are Noori Travels, Meru Cabs, AutoRiders, and Dot Cabs
Tourist attractions: Hyderabad is a heritage city and boasts of numerous tourist sites with a blend of history, culture, entertainment and shopping experiences. Top few recommendations include Charminar, Golconda Fort, Salar Jung Museum, Hussain Sagar lake and Ramoji Film city.
